The Public Benefits Assistant (PBA) is the information developer and coordinator on our client’s team.  The PBA may call on clients in their private residence or residential facility to review documents and gather information.  He or she interfaces directly with custodians of the client’s assets.  The PBA works closely with the supervising Public Benefits Specialist, three Elder Law Attorneys, and the attorneys’ Legal Assistants to form a cohesive team that meets a range of legal and financial needs for clients.  To be successful in this role, the applicant must be a perfectionist with strong analytical skills, tenacity in tracking down information, and commitment to solving problems and puzzles. Excellent organization and time management skills are necessary to complete and submit clients’ benefits applications under tight deadlines.
