Ask Julia

What is the problem you are best at solving for your clients?

Most of my clients struggle to get assistance to pay for the care they need. Figuring out how to apply for public benefits or appeal a denial can be extremely confusing. I guide my clients through the labyrinth of paperwork and documentation, helping them get a good outcome while reducing their stress and anxiety along the way.

What excites you about your work and contribution to the Elder Care Law of Tennessee team?

Access to benefits is a huge piece of the financial and care planning puzzle for many ECLTN clients. It's always a struggle to fill in that piece, but it's deeply satisfying every time we win approval for a client. I find it rewarding to be a part of ensuring that someone has gotten the help they need to pay for care.

What do you love most about Elder Care Law of Tennessee?

Elder Care Law of Tennessee is a supportive work environment where everyone is empowered to grow and challenge themselves. All employees spend time learning about each other’s jobs and are ready to jump in and shuffle tasks when needed to allow a coworker to develop a new skill or take his or her job to the next level.

Where can we find you when you're not working?

I enjoy cooking and reading, but most of my free time is spent with my family.

Fun fact:

I studied abroad in Amsterdam while I was in law school.
