What is the problem you are best at solving for your clients?
My clients entrust me with matters that are deeply personal and sometimes tragic. By approaching their challenges with a balance of sensitivity and pragmatism, I help them resolve complex legal and financial problems and reach the best possible outcomes.

What excites you about your work and contribution to the Elder Care Law of Tennessee team?
I love working closely with my clients, learning their stories, earning their trust, and finding creative solutions to their unique situations. It is exciting to see how my work improves real people’s lives.

What do you love most about Elder Care Law of Tennessee?
I love that my firm is willing and eager to take on cases and challenges that other firms aren’t equipped to handle or interested in taking on. It is exciting to work with a team of people who are committed to giving their absolute best.

With my sweet little family.

Fun fact:
I have a pug named Sophia, and she is a real character. I am amused when my clients want to incorporate pet planning into their plans because I get it—I'm a dog person, too!

Bailey Schiermeyer, JD

Certified Elder Law Attorney

Attorney Bailey Schiermeyer assists elders, individuals with disabilities, and their families with planning for the legal and financial challenges of aging and long-term care situations.  She advises clients about the best strategies for dealing with current crises and planning to avoid crises in the future.  As a solution-driven and empathetic person, Bailey is excited to meet clients' needs and help them reach desired outcomes. Her analytical skills and patience serve her well as she helps clients navigate unique challenges and achieve their goals.  In addition to assisting clients with issues of aging and disability, she also handles estate administration or probate cases.

In 2019, Bailey was awarded the ABA's On the Rise- Top 40 Young Lawyers Award by the American Bar Association. This program provides national recognition of ABA Young Lawyers Division Members who exemplify high achievement, innovation, vision, leadership, and service to the profession and their communities.
